Is Fluent available now?
Yes. Managed Fluent is currently free. You can also run the open-source version yourself.
Do I need to switch AI assistants?
No. Fluent works with ChatGPT, Claude, Codex, OpenClaw, and other compatible AI apps. You keep talking to the assistant you already use.
Who is Fluent for?
Fluent is for people who want their AI assistant to improve over time instead of starting from scratch in every conversation.
Today it is most useful for:
- meal planning, saved recipes, groceries, and household food preferences
- closet-aware style advice and purchase decisions
- simple grocery and clothing budgets
What can Fluent do today?
With Meals, your assistant can plan around your household, save recipes and approved meal plans, maintain a grocery list, and update it after you shop.
With Style, your assistant can answer questions using your actual closet, compare a possible purchase with what you own, and keep saved items and photos current.
You can also choose to set a grocery or clothing budget.
Should I use managed Fluent or run it myself?
Use managed Fluent if you want hosting, storage, authentication, and updates handled for you.
Run Fluent yourself if you want direct control over the server, storage, backups, and update timing.

Does Fluent have visual cards or lists?
Yes. Compatible AI apps can show a visual Grocery List, Budget Setup, and Style Closet Manager. Every supported app presents the same information as text.
Can I export or delete my data?
Yes. You can request an export or permanently delete your managed Fluent account. If you run Fluent yourself, you control your own backups and storage. See Privacy & Data.
Is Fluent a dashboard?
No. You may use the website to sign in, connect an AI app, or manage your account, but most of your time with Fluent happens inside your assistant.
Is Fluent a budgeting or wardrobe app?
Fluent complements those apps by giving your assistant useful context and a few carefully controlled actions. Budget support focuses on grocery and clothing amounts you provide, while Style turns your closet into useful context for advice.
How much setup does Fluent need?
Start with one real task. Ask for help planning this week’s meals or evaluating a purchase. Your assistant will ask for the few details it needs and can save them after you approve.
